REJOICE. CELEBRATE. APPLAUD. I AM MAKING PROGRESS! GO ME. I’M THE BEST.

I am the best, but that’s (surprisingly) not what I want to talk about. I have just this moment completed an online course from  UEA (University of East Anglia) called An Introduction to Screenwriting, and I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Like I mentioned before, I don’t have any real, proper training in script writing. I mean, I’ve had workshops and private sessions with coaches and that, but never an actual course. But now I have!  OK, it was an online distance course, but a course is a course and I passed. I’m basically Christopher Nolan now.

Screen writing is something that has always seemed so overwhelming to me. There is so much jargon that I simple didn’t understand. I know quite a few writers and directors and I’ve always felt inadequate and like I couldn’t contribute to the conversation. But now I feel hella more confident. I feel more like a proper writer. I am the best.

So I am going to turn my idea for this banging script into a reality, and I now have a series of tools and guides to help me through it.

But right now, I’m gonna go eat some sardine pate. Yum yum yum.
